Advantech Wireless releases new tactical SATCOM network architecture for drones and UAVs
(3 November 2017 - Advantech Wireless) Advantech Wireless, a global leader for Satellite broadband communications solutions, announced today the release of the new Tactical SATCOM Network Architecture for Drones and UAVs.
The requirement for UAVs is growing exponentially. At the same time, their capabilities need to increase in terms of data rates, area coverage and operation in a hostile environment.
The ASAT IITM VSAT System technology, developed by Advantech Wireless is designed to provide extended capabilities for low rate surveillance data and instantaneously switch to support both large video feeds as well as high data transmissions rates from and to the UAV. These high value capabilities need to be offered in the most cost efficient way and have to solve key technological issues today.
