Syrlinks sets up in Toulouse at the heart of the European Aerospace Valley
(9 May 2019 - Syrlinks) The French company Syrlinks, expert in radiocommunication and geolocation equipment, especially in the space domain, opens a new location in Toulouse at the heart of a major European industrial hub for aeronautics and space.
Its leaders want to get closer to their key customers in France, the CNES (French Space Agency), Airbus Defence and Space, Thales Alenia Space or Nexeya, but also forge new partnerships with local industry. This geographic proximity will allow Syrlinks to reinforce and facilitate interactions with their partners.
Strongly positioned in the space industry Syrlinks plans great development perspectives on this promising market in France but also internationally. The company, member of the Aerospace Valley, aims to reinforce its activities of supplying space radiocommunication equipment embedded on small and medium size satellite platforms (Micro/ Nano/Cube-sat). This Syrlinks Toulouse entity will also have the mission to consolidate the development of export sales, strengthening the work already initiated in the United States, but also addressing the entire global market.

Syrlinks has already recruited the site manager, Elise Ratajczyk, who is also responsible for the space activity of the company. This 35-year-old engineer who graduated from the Institut Supérieur de l’Aéronautique et de l’Espace (Superior Aeronautical and Space Institute) – Ensica/Supaero, already has a rich experience in the space business, acquired within Airbus Defence and Space and Oneweb Satellites.

The Toulouse area will also attract additional talents to those of Rennes and allow Syrlinks to diversify on non-R.F. products. I am very happy to start this project with Syrlinks executives. The Toulouse team will soon be expanded with a few additional employees, and the workforce should reach a dozen people in the short run. Its activity started on the 2nd of May in the Labège science park, in close proximity to Airbus Defence and Space, the CNES and the Aerospace Valley

The Syrlinks leaders aim at the complementarity of Rennes and Toulouse teams. Rennes site has also experienced a strong growth in the past few years, with major commercial successes such as the OneWeb mega-constellation program of telecommunication satellites for which Syrlinks supplies remote control / telemetry equipment. The company, founded in 2011, employs around a hundred people and plans to recruit about twenty employees in 2019.

The company, founded in 2011 near Rennes, employs around a hundred people. Its leaders anticipate the recruitment of around twenty more staff in 2019. For its first space contract, Syrlinks participated in 2012 in the development of the CNES Myriade Evolutions platform’s radio links for Earth observation missions. The popularity of Syrlinks was also based on the Rosetta space mission, initiated by the ESA, aimed at exploring Comet chouri. Syrlinks team designed and manufactured the wireless communication systems connecting the Rosetta probe to the Philae robot-lander.
