Booster blocks arrive by train at Vostochny spaceport
(28 August 2019 - Roscosmos) A special train came to Ledyanaya station near the Vostochny Cosmodrome carrying the blocks of Soyuz-2.1a, Soyuz-2.1b boosters and the payload fairing.

Vostochy Space Center specialists (a TsENKI subsidiary, part of Roscosmos) met the train, later it was transported to the technical complex.
After washing the container cars, the booster components will be unloaded and transferred via the transfer gallery from the block depot to the assembly and testing facility for further storage.
At the block depot, the technical complex specialists prepared the workplaces to receive the booster blocks. The employees received additional training to work with the components, getting admission to the unsupervised work.
Moreover the rocket and space industry specialists checked the railroad tracks using the rail spotters and track recording cars, as well as carried out maintenance of the locomotives.
